WAIT… WHAT IS AN ARTIST MASTERMIND, ANYWAY?
Essentially, it's a collective of 8 to 10 artist friends, having a virtual coffee date in my studio twice a month, talking shop and inspiring one another to new heights!
My Artist Mastermind offers you an opportunity to connect with a small group of other artists who are at a professional level on par with your own. All members are similarly dedicated to growing their practice and their business, and are committed to helping one-another along their unique path. (Everyone is working on their own goals - and that makes for awesome conversation!)
IS THIS MASTERMIND RIGHT FOR YOU?
Ideal candidates are early and mid-career artists who are working on their professional growth…You do not need to be a full time artist - just a committed artist.
So, this works best if you have an established creative practice, with a pretty clear artistic voice. Some history of achievement that elevates your practice out of hobby status is important to - whether that’s in the form of shows or sales, or just any way that getting your work out in front of other people makes sense to you. Most importantly: you should have personal goals to continue to grow both your creative practice and your work’s reach. If that sounds like you, you’re a perfect fit!
WHAT’S MY ROLE?
I’m the facilitator!
My first job is to select participants with an aim of ensuring that the Mastermind is a group full of motivated artists who all have a clear willingness to both give and receive information. My number one goal is to create an environment where each member has an equally weighted voice. I’m also really good at guiding meetings that feel organized yet encourage a creative flow of ideas…
I don’t teach this as a pre-determined course, because each time the group meets, we discuss the topics that are relevant to members in the moment! I offer my own insights, and source weekly pre and post-call materials and resources. My big goal, though, is to facilitate the flow of the conversation, ensuring that every member has attention paid to their needs, and opportunity to voice their ideas.
NUTS AND BOLTS:
We use Zoom for video calls every-other Monday. The meetings last about 1 1/2 hours, and everyone’s attendance is really important, as the work we do is through in-person connection. This is not a downloadable course to take at your own pace.
We have a private networking space on Mighty Networks to connect between meetings. This is where we post questions and news, share links and answer questions within one main space. I post content that supports the meeting topics, and members’ goals, as well as video recordings of the meetings.
In addition, I book multiple guest experts over the course of each Mastermind series. These artist professionals offer even more valuable insights around the topics of artist mindset, gallery and consultant representation, business growth and marketing, or whatever else the group needs more of!
Two Mastermind “Chapters” run simultaneously each session. Each Chapter has it’s own time for their live meetings, but we all mix together in the Mighty Network, and every member is invited to the Guest Expert calls.
WHAT’S THE COMMITMENT?
There’s no homework, no intense course schedule. But this only works if each member really engages.

A 7 month membership from March 1st - September 30th
Participation in all Zoom meetings and Mighty Networks discussions (life intervenes, I get it - but try to make most of the calls!)
Membership fees of $115/ month - SUCH a good deal for well over 20 hours of small group meetings, 7+ months of online support, and guest talks from industry big-wigs! Not to mention, forming of life-long artist friendships
